Nicolas K. – Kennel Supervisor
Nicolas joined our Technical Team in 2018 as our Kennel Supervisor. Nicolas is an essential part of our team, as he trains and supervises all of our Kennel Technicians. In the future he plans on attending school to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. When he’s not at work, you can find Nicolas on the handball courts, spending time with his family and friends, or loving his two dogs. He cohabitates with Coco, a beautiful pitbull, and Hazel, a Maltese & Yorkie mix. If you ask Nicolas, his favorite hobby is to make people smile… and we couldn’t agree more! He makes the clients, staff and pets of PPAH smile every day!
Cassandra G. – Kennel Technician
Cassandra is one of the newest members of the PPAH Technical Team, starting with us in 2018. Cassandra is currently in college, majoring in Zoology. Her career goals are to work with and rehabilitate wildlife out west, preferably wolves! Cassandra is a strong believer that people who work to rehabilitate animals, as well as rescue teams for large mammals and domestic pets are all superheroes! She thinks that working in a rescue zoo or sanctuary would be an ideal position for her in the future. Cassandra lives at home with three lucky dogs! Gunner (a pitbull /boxer mix), Daisy (an English springer spaniel), and Lady (another pitbull mix). In her free time you might find Cassandra hiking or exploring a national park. One of her favorite trips she can recall was to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. We are so excited for Cassandra’s future at PPAH and beyond!
Grace M. – Kennel Technician
Grace came on board with our Technical Team in 2018. She is currently enrolled at the College of Staten Island and is majoring in Biology. She plans on completing her degree and then moving onto further schooling to become a Veterinarian. At home Grace lives with a Shiba Inu named Pee Wee, an Australian shepherd named Kimmy, and a Hound Mix named Penelope. Aside from spending time with her animals, Grace’s hobbies include painting, reading, and enjoying time with friends.
Justin G. – Kennel Technician
Justin is one of the rising star at PPAH. He began through a high school program in 2018 and we hired him immediately after. Justin’s career goal is to become a Veterinarian who specializes in orthopedics. He is interested in researching wildlife animals when he participates in a study abroad program in college. Justin has many hobbies, including playing competitive tennis, powerlifting and traveling. He will be playing tennis for his college, Adelphi University, next year. Although Justin doesn’t currently have any pets, we know that won’t last for long!
Andrew C. – Kennel Technician
Andrew is one of PPAH’s several seasonal employees. He returns to us every summer break, spring break, winter break, and long weekend as a Kennel Technician. Andrew is a hard worker and we are always happy when he is at PPAH! He is currently a Junior at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut with a Biology/Pre-Vet Major and is a member of SHU’s Pre-Vet Club. His career goal is to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in surgery. Recently Andrew completed an internship at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo in their Rainforest Building. He is also a Founding Father of his fraternity at SHU and currently the Vice President. This year he plans for his fraternity to raise money and awareness for ASPCA’s Prevention of Cruelty to Animal’s Month. Andrew is also the captain of his Intramural Flag Football team at Sacred Heart University. At home, Andrew has 2 two dogs, a 16-year-old Havanese named Chip, and a 3-year-old Goldendoodle named Stash.
Eric V. – Kennel Technician
Eric is one of our several seasonal employees. You can spot Eric at PPAH every summer, as we always welcome him back when he is on break from school. Eric’s career goals (as of now) is to finish his undergraduate schooling and work towards applying to Veterinary school. He would like to specialize in exotic animals but ensures us that he loves domestic animals just as much. In school, Eric participates in research that studies the correlation between age and memory loss/memory gain, and the role that Alzheimer’s Disease (and other neurological diseases) plays in this correlation in animals. He has one dog, a wire fox terrier named Max, that Eric misses like crazy when he is away at school. When he has time for leisure, Eric likes to play video games, play tennis, and is currently studying Japanese. Eric is the true definition of a go-getter and we are lucky to have him with us at PPAH every summer!
Jenna C. – Kennel Technician
Jenna is another of PPAH’s seasonal Kennel Technicians. Jenna currently attends Delaware Valley University where she studies small animal science. She plans on continuing with her education and obtaining her DVM in the future. Jenna may be tiny, but she has goals on working with some of the biggest animals around, elephants! At home, she has two loves of her life, her pug named Taz and her French bulldog named Stella. When she’s taking time to relax Jenna loves traveling and cooking. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Jenna!
