Associate Veterinarian

Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital is a privately owned general practice that offers an extensive range of services for our patients and clients. Both our locations are equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, surgical suite, dental station, and a spacious treatment area. This allows our veterinarians to treat a wide array of ailments, providing urgent care and life-saving medical intervention for their more complex cases. Our staff is dedicated, talented, and compassionate, and our clientele values progressive and preventative medicine. Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital veterinarians have additional support with a 4:1 technician-to-veterinary ratio. With our experienced technical team providing hands-on case management, we ensure our DVMs have protected time for client communications, peer-to-peer case discussions, continuing education, and more.

For any newly graduated DVMs looking to join our team, we provide a one-on-one mentorship program that is tailored to your needs. Over the course of your mentorship, you will work through 4 intensive modules with your mentor(s) covering client communications, systems operations and flow, internal medicine, and surgery. We want you to feel empowered to practice medicine in a way that is fulfilling and satisfying!

It’s important that our team has time to recharge when not providing care to their patients. With a 4-5-day work week, rotating at both locations, and working 35-40 hours per week on average we want our veterinarians to make time for themselves! Both locations are open 7 days per week. The hours are as follows:

South location- Monday-Friday 9 am-9 pm, Sat/Sun 8 am-6 pm

North location- Monday-Friday 9 am-6 pm, Sat 9 am-6 pm, Sun 10 am-4 pm.

We have technicians at our South location overnight to assess and direct any emergencies our patients may have.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD (required)
• 1-year Veterinary experience (preferred)
